Doha-based Mundial Media is a communications and creative agency founded by James Varley and Ehab Al Malky.

Mundial Media specialises in creating world-class content in both English and Arabic. We are a one-stop-shop for all your communications needs, including strategy, content development, translation and other key services, such as graphic design, photography, video production and more.

Our co-founders have worked with some of the biggest brands in Qatar and globally. Between them, James and Ehab spent 15 years helping Qatar deliver the FIFA World Cup, making Mundial Media part of the economic legacy of the tournament. Mundial Media is registered by the Qatar Financial Centre and a member of the Qatar Sport Accelerator, an innovative business hub located at Aspire Zone.

Co-Founder

JAMES VARLEY

James Varley is a communications expert who spent almost a decade working on the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Since 2005, UK-born James has worked in the print media, TV, radio, digital and corporate communications. During the last decade in Qatar, James has managed internal communications, presented a popular radio show and led the delivery of both corporate and fan-facing content for the FIFA World Cup.

During Qatar 2022, James led a team of 15 writers, translators, photographers and video production experts – delivering content for both host country and external media channels. His innovative 360° content strategy achieved earned media worth millions of dollars in key markets across the globe.

ehab al malky

Ehab Al Malky is a leading writer, editor and Arabisation expert in the GCC having worked in the region for the last 20 years.

Ehab began his career in Egypt after graduating. He has extensive agency experience, working for Lowe Empire Advertising International, Frame Communications, Action Global Communications and Teneo during his career. From 2017 to 2023, Ehab directly supported FIFA World Cup preparations and delivery.

During Qatar 2022, Ehab was the head of Arabic media content, delivering press releases, fact sheets, social media, subtitles, speechwriting and more. He was also a trusted voice in developing engaging strategy and content calendars for the FIFA World Cup and a host of other tournament milestones.
